Expressing artistic themes in mixed media; wood, glass, tile, stone, and metal. Aleutian Gallery, Crab Pot Cafe - Seldovia, Alaska
Chris Wheeler, a commercial halibut fisherman, artist, and ex-logger, originally built this building and a fishing boat from spruce he fell and milled himself.  After fishing 17 years off the Aleutian Islands, Chris demolished his boat, and I worked with him to do restoration on the original building and build this patio in front of his gallery on an Alaskan fishing theme using the wheel house from the boat and old cannery beams.  We did a tile mosaic of halibut fishing and Orca's in the patio with tile floors and a bar inside the restaurant.  Chris is an excellent painter whose unique art work depicts Alaskan logging and fishing themes.  Check it out if you are in Alaska.  Seldovia is a two hour ferry ride from Homer.
